The Concertino features Nothing but Beautiful Looks and Breathtaking Sound.

The Concertino is the first and only product designed for listening to music on your iPod in audiophile quality. The triode tube based amplifier and the matching speakers fit together in perfect harmony with the iPod. No matter if you listen to a classical concert or modern music – we guarantee you a new depth of sound experience with the Concertino.

What is unique about the Concertino is the combination of highest sound quality, its amazing small size and modern design. It is not a piece of technical equipment. Instead, it decorates the interior of your living room or your office. And the warm glow and the soft gleaming of the tubes is a pleasure to the eye.

The Concertino is designed for all kinds of iPods. Needless to say you can also adapt all kinds of traditional audio equipment like CD players, etc via a second port.
Do you use your iMac to organize your music library? No problem. AirPort Express even offers the option of wireless transmission to the Concertino.

Maybe you enjoy listening to your records and CD's at home in the "traditional way": But in your office, your holiday home or your second home you will appreciate the luxury of having your entire music library at your disposal using the iPod and the Concertino.

Even better: owning the Concertino frees you from rapidly changing trends in entertainment and consumer electronics. After all, even 60 years ago, triodes were already considered old-fashioned.
All the Concertino components are developed and made in Germany and are of the highest quality and are built to last.

The Technical Concept.

Have you ever wondered why on earth we offer a tube-based audio amplifier combined with full range speakers to play music on your iPod? There is an easy answer: Because even today, nothing compares to the unique and rich spectrum of tonal colours produced by tube based audio equipment. And once you get used to the richness of tone produced by a tube amplifier, you will disdain the cool, synthetic sound of a transistor for the rest of your life.

Moreover, this "old" technology is perfectly capable of compensating for the sound distortions of today's music production and data reduction because of its wonderful "analogue charm". Last but not least, this technology means you will own a high quality product which will not decrease in value for years due to its simplicity as well as our focus and emphasis on "less is more".

Every "audio gourmet" knows that a triode-based system is the pinnacle of what is possible in tube amplifier design. Why? Because the triodes allow for simple and ingenious circuits, which are closest to the ideal of an "ampli-wire", i.e. the simplest and most distortion-free way of amplifying a signal. All amplification is in pure Class A triode mode to achieve a minimum of harmonic distortion.

The speakers are exclusively developed for use with the Concertino. In spite of their amazingly small size, they allow for perfect sound quality which matches the high quality of the amplifier. Just as one expects from a triode concept, the speakers work over the full range i.e. the entire range of frequencies is reproduced by a single chassis. Nowadays this technology is only rarely used in HiFi, because common multi-way systems can be produced much easier and at lower cost. However, the full range of the system's advantage is obvious: All frequencies are reproduced at absolutely the same time and are perfectly in phase. Consequently the sound distorting crossover components in between the individual chassis are not needed. But don't worry, nothing is missing - neither in the speaker nor in the music.
In addition, the synchronized unity of amplifier and speakers allows for an exceptionally homogeneous sound.
The signals are transmitted to the speakers by triple core cables manufactured exclusively for our company. They allow for high quality at a relatively small diameter and are thus very unobtrusive.
It goes without saying that all the other components also meet the highest expectations and that every time standard components failed our demanding tests we had the parts manufactured exclusively. This was the case with the silver mica capacitors used for the equalization of frequencies or the laser trimmed precision resistors which determine the operating points of the tubes. The chassis also represents our commitment to high quality standards: it is made out of solid aluminium and hardened glass with brilliant hand-applied multi-layered varnishing.
